World Telehealth Initiative's Sharon Allen Receives United Nations Association Peace Prize

 

On the International Day of Peace, Sharon Allen, Co-Founder and CEO of World Telehealth Initiative, received the United Nations (UN) Association Peace Prize. The award recognizes those who have achieved measurable worldwide impact in the service of peace, human rights, and humanitarian aid globally.

Sharon and World Telehealth Initiative were recognized for its work supporting UN Sustainable Development Goal #3, which seeks to "ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.” World Telehealth Initiative has made a significant impact on global health disparities by expanding access to quality care in vulnerable communities.
